About me

Capt. Tobias Fietze, MSc

With the vision and mission of emocia, I would like to accompany you in the best possible way on the way towards a modern, just and agile organisation. I stand for this with my broad wealth of experience from the cockpit, from flight instruction and from management positions in an airline. I am happy to share my multi-faceted experience in the areas of leadership, decision-making, error management, interpersonal skills and work culture with all organisations interested.

From experience as a captain and manager in airlines, I know how important a cross-system approach is to correctly assess risks in complex scenarios, to minimise the impact of potential errors and to make resilient, widely accepted decisions. Experience shows that this works best in a team and with competent leadership. Lifelong learning, ongoing development of the personality and one’s own competencies are indispensable basic requirements. This is the only way to be successful in a VUCA world and in a risky, error-prone work environment. This is where my passion for a modern organisational culture, for decision-making processes and for error management started to evolve. In connection with the elementary cornerstones of Human Factors and Performance, I have learned: People are always the central, the key element!
